    Hi,
New to Event Espresso and trying to set it up right now for a site being made.
I’m sure this is a problem with the theme (after reading up on your forum) but I nonetheless would love some help, even if it’s just to find out exactly what I should be saying to the theme builder.
The main calendar shortcode didn’t work, but using the [RAW] tag made it work.
The widget however won’t show up, and would love your advice.
I’d like to give you the link to the site, but as it’s still in development I’d like to keep it private. Is there a way to give you direct info?
    Thanks a lot.

Just found out that it appears in ‘Posts’ pages, but not in regular ‘pages’.
      Any help would be great.
      Thanks.

        Hi there,

Does the theme have different widget areas for pages and post pages?

You can send a us a link to the site via our contact form:

        http://staging.eventespresso.com/contact/

Select the “I am sending login info as requested” department form.

          Hi,
Just sent you a mail through the contact link.
Just as a FIY for people with similar problems, I’ll keep this thread up-to-date.
The same sidebar is shared by pages and posts.
          Thanks.

            Hi there,

I’d recommend ruling out whether it’s a theme issue or not by temporarily switching to the twentyeleven theme. This may help narrow down where the issue is.

As a heads up, another user having problems with a theme from GoodLayers recently purchased a support token in order to fix the issues with the theme. Here’s a link to that thread which includes a solution:

Yeah, sorry I didn’t mention it but I already tried changing themes, and worked fine on twentyeleven.
So it’s the theme. The link you provided didn’t seem to be related to mine, but maybe I’m completely wrong.
I’ve just bought event espresso so I’m not sure I want to be shelling out $65 for support just yet! Was hoping there might have been a solution…

The link I provided isn’t related to the calendar issue, but you may experience other issues with this theme, as it’s from the same theme author, and I posted that link as a head’s up.

We’ve been in contact with Good Layers where a few other customers have reported issues with getting the calendar to work, and from what I remember, sent them a copy of Event Espresso so they could work out these issues. I can suggest contacting them as we do not generally provide support for third party themes.

Actually just tried it again with twentyeleven theme and the event calendar widget’s not working, still.
Works in posts pages, but not regular pages. This is driving me insane, as is my client.

I’ve just created a new site on a new domain name, and I still can’t get the widget to show up.

                          Hi there,

Do you have a link to one of these pages that you can post here?

Here is an example of a test site running the twentytwelve theme where the calendar widget displays on pages and posts:
