but they don’t make sense. I check all all the files giving 404 errors using FTP and they are all there. I reuploaded the files just to make sure. It hasn’t fixed the error.
I’m also not a developer so some of the really technical explanations and solutions confused me. I am able to copy/paste specific code into specific php and other files as long as you give me clear instructions.
I checked the theme to make sure it wasn’t using the wrong method of loading jquery and it seems to be using the method you say to use.
From reading other similar topics it seems like a jquery conflict with another plugin, perhaps SlideDeck which we use. But I can’t get rid of SlideDeck. How can they co-exist? Is there a tweak or a fix I can make to one of them or somewhere to allow them to co-exist.
I think what we need to do here is some basic troubleshooting as there is nothing obvious that is causing the issue.
I would start by checking the file permissions for the calendar folder, sub folders and files via FTP. Folders should be 755 and files 644.
If you use FileZilla as an ftp program these are marked as Permissions http://d.pr/i/ZFF7
If those look ok then its a case of deactivating the plugins except EE and EE calendar and bring them back online one at a time, each time testing the calendar, to see if one of them causes the calendar to not show.
The theme can also be tested by swapping to a default theme like TwentyTwelve.
