    We are using:
    Wordpress 3.5.1
    Event Espresso 3.1.22.2.P
    Plugin versions: http://cl.ly/image/0g0e1w2G1x1c

We have never been able to get a calendar page to work on our site. Here’s a page that we have to test it, http://www.kidsneedmoreart.com/calendar-temp

We’re using this basic shortcode [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR]

    Here’s an active registration:
    page http://www.kidsneedmoreart.com/class-registration/?ee=2634

        Hi Karen,

Firstly I would recommend updating Event Espresso and all it’s addons to the latest versions. Maybe WordPress too (though this isn’t specifically required, it’s always a good idea to stay up to date).

Please make sure to back your site up fully before updating.

The version of EE you are using and the version of WP you are using are not compatible. As such there are JavaScript errors appearing stopping the calendar from showing. Updating EE and addons should resolve this issue.

Thanks. Yeah figured this would be the case. It’s certainly not easy keeping up with the changes and so forth without worrying about the registration and/or losing current and past registrations. We are interested in hiring an EE expert to do the updates with, or for us. Please advise us how to get started with this. Thank you

          Hi Karen,

We’d love to help you out but we’ve got all our resources dedicated to developing and supporting EE right now. I’d recommend contacting an Event Espresso Pro who should be able to do a good job: http://staging.eventespresso.com/developers/event-espresso-pros/

          Is that ok?

Thank you. A quick question. Since we do not have an automatic upload option, the instructions say to delete the current EE plugin and all of the add-ons. Then install the new/upgraded EE plugin and then the add-ons after that. My qustion is, once I delete this old EE plugin and add-on plugins, will that delete all of my current and past classes, registrations and attendees? Or once I add the new EE plugin and add-ons back to the Wordrpess, will the current adn old classes, and registratiosn, etc still be there just as left off. We have well over 100 active classes in 3 locations. I’d hate to delete the plugin and then upload the updated version and lose all of this??? Please advise.

            Hi,

“will that delete all of my current and past classes, registrations and attendees?”

No, the data is in the database, it is not removed in case of accidental plugin deactivation/deletion. I still recommend backing up the database prior to upgrading as a precaution.

“will the current adn old classes, and registratiosn, etc still be there just as left off.”

Yes, your version of EE should not have any issues upgrading to the latest version of EE3.

However, I still recommend backing up the database prior to upgrading as a precaution.

It might also be a good idea to take a copy of the older version of EE just in case. You can do this via a backup plugin or FTP.
