We have only 130 events, and the calendar page has now disappeared after working for 4 months.

I turned colors off as per Josh’s suggestion: The colors category feature actually creates more queries for the database, and some hosts will limit the amount of database queries.

NO LUCK

Install a caching plugin like WP-super-cache. Be sure that the main registration page, payment/return page, and transaction page are set up to not be cached. Once set up, if you’re logged out of the site, the page should be served as a cached html file.

I TRIED this installation, no problem, BUT there are so many variables, learning curver and I cannot find in documentation WHERE to “not cache themain registration page, payment/return page, and transaction page, as per Josh.

I TRIED Adding the short code as per Josh, NO LUCK. The [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=false] shortcode might help if they’re okay with not displaying past events.

It’s not a server problem.. plenty of space left.

Meanwhile, the calendar is down, and the site pretty useless to our client. And other ideas/can you shed some light/can I buy some time for your experts to view and see what is happening?

One of the above suggestions did make a difference, because I can see calendar markup in the page source now. There are paragraph tags getting added to it though, which will break it.

Can you try wrapping the [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] shortcode with [raw] short-tags like this:

[raw][ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=false][/raw]

Some themes do not support the raw short code tag, though, so if this doesn’t work, there are other options.

Hi Susannah,

I hope you don’t mind, but I was anxious to see this working again, and I dug up the credentials that you sent us when we installed the calendar originally. They still worked, so I was able to fix the calendar.

The above [raw] tag fix worked. So you should be good to go. I commented out the message about the calendar not working.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. My client and I so appreciate your help and attention! I did not know the raw tags had to be included, so this alone does not fix it: [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=false] as you said, this is the CORRECT CODE: [raw][ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=false][/raw]

Anyway, calendar is working great for this client, they are very happy with your product, and I am very happy and very grateful for your solid customer service. I will recommend your product and use it again. Thank you.
