I am still having the problem with event category colors as mentioned in this previous post. Since all of our events have multiple categories assigned to them, the only way to effect the color of a specific category is via custom css which I have done.
However the problem seems to be that EE calendar is not putting out the category class consistently therefore the css doesn’t take effect on all events. You can see this on our event calendar page. All 2 hour events should be dark red in color (as directed by the custom css), but you can see only some of them are. The ones that are have the category class name and the ones that are not do not.
Why is the category class name not being output consistently
Very sorry about that! One of the updates to optimize the calendar SQL queries messed up the multiple categories feature. We have an update to the calendar, which should be released later to day, that should fix this issue.
Can you go into the Event Espresso>Calendar settings and verify that these three options are set:
Under theme settings: Enable CSS for Categories -> Should be set to Yes.
Use Color Pickers -> Should be set to No.
Under Memory management: Disable Categories -> Should be set to No.
