Hi everyone. I have a weird question but it would be awesome if this is possible.
We would like to sell coupons or “gift cards” that customers can purchase and then have access to our product training events. The cards are valid for 1 year and customers can book for any event we host within the 1 year period.
In other words, only customers with cards, can book the sessions. (because they paid for it)
So here is the question:
How can we limit bookings for an event to card holders only? Is there a way to verify them that they are indeed cardholders? When they log on to book, enter a card number/unique ID/id number and then get access to the registration form – something like this possible?
I would say you need to change the terminology here and replace gift card with membership. You can use a plugin such as S2Members or any other membership plugin to sell access to your site for 1 year periods. Then with the WP User Integration (Members) add on you can deny access to events unless they are a registered member.
