Reading through the forum it seems that this is possible, but just need to make sure before buying. Here’s our situation:

Each attendee needs to have their own user account that they can manage on their own. This user account will allow them to store their own information for future event use. Is this possible?

We need to add custom fields to the registration form that will get saved with this user account information for future use (i.e. t-shirt size, room assignments, group number…). Is this possible?

We need a “bill to group” feature that will allow both situations: 1. a group leader can buy a bulk set of tickets for a group and have user accounts created for each person. 2. an individual can buy a single ticket and either pay on their own, or bill to a group. Is this possible?

Are all of these situations possible with your plugin?

Thank you for your time.

Hi Michael,

I’ll follow up with each of your questions below:

Each attendee needs to have their own user account that they can manage on their own. This user account will allow them to store their own information for future event use. Is this possible?

This is possible if the WP user integration add-on installed.

We need to add custom fields to the registration form that will get saved with this user account information for future use (i.e. t-shirt size, room assignments, group number…). Is this possible?

While it may be possible, this isn’t something that Event Espresso does out of the box. The custom fields could be added and supported by a third party developer.

We need a “bill to group” feature that will allow both situations: 1. a group leader can buy a bulk set of tickets for a group and have user accounts created for each person. 2. an individual can buy a single ticket and either pay on their own, or bill to a group. Is this possible?

Not really possible unless you have a developer on your team that can build out this feature. Event Espresso doesn’t have a bill to group option at this time.

Thank you.

Do you have developer docs that show any filters or hooks that would make these extra functions possible?

There are lists of hooks and filters here:

http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/event-espresso-3-1-action-hooks/

http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/event-espresso-3-1-filters/

If there are places where you need hooks added please let us know and we can add them.

Thank you for your help. One last followup question.
With the “Multiple Attendee Registration” feature, http://staging.eventespresso.com/features/multiple-attendee-registration/
Does this function work with the “WP user integration add-on?”
So that if a group leader registers many people, each person will get their own username and password to manage their own account?

Hi Michael,

Event Espresso doesn’t out of the box set up user accounts when people register for an event, so in either case where there are multiple or single registrations it wouldn’t.

That said, this gist can be used to create a user account for single registrations:

Thank you for your help.
Does the ‘action_hook_espresso_save_attendee_data’ fire with the “Multiple Attendee Registration” feature, or just when a single user buys a ticket?

From looking at the code it’s not firing within the event_espresso_add_attendees_to_db_multi function. So it looks like only when a single (non-Multi Event Registration) registration.

Is this something your developers could have it do?

Hi,

I’ll add a developer ticket to see if this can be added.
