I have 5 licenses. But it seems I keep getting this error:
“There is a new version of Event Espresso available. View What’s New with version 3.1.30.2.P. You need a valid Site License Key to enable automatic upgrades. Your current membership level does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.”

I get one site fixed, then the others break. I am allowed 5 sites with my license, but this is crazy to have to keep resetting the keys all the time just to update.

    Someone please help???

    Hi Dierdre,

Sorry about all of this, we think that we are on top of the licence key issues and it keeps cropping back up.

You currently have 3 sites with licences attached to them, is it affecting all of them?

Well it happens to my first two. The third one can actually be removed as it was only being used for a short time until I could move over the *.ORG domain name to where I had the *.COM temporarily.

So yes… between the WDACO.org and the WesternDressgeAssocation.org, if I get one fixed, the next time there is an update, the other one goes wonky and it not allowed to auto update. If I fix that one, then the one that was working does not.

It’s very weird. Mostly what I end up doing… is the old way of updating. Delete the old version of EE, upload & install new version. Then everything works. I stopped asking for resets as that took too long.

But I believe there was one time, that process did not work and I still had to ask for a reset. This last time I did not.

I am an old IT person… can help with some testing if need be.

      Hi Deirdre,

Thanks for letting me know. We thought we had the licence key issue well under control but here has been a resurgence recently that we are looking into.

In the meantime I reset the licences for you, so it should kick back in, if possible can you remove the key, save re-add the key and save again in the General Settings.

I did the first one and all messages are gone and everything is good. I went to the second site. Updated the Key as you explained. Here is the message I have:

You have the correct Site License Key for Event Espresso but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.

I am still unable to process more than ONE domain under my license for auto update. This is not working.

          Hi Deirdre,

Are these sites installed on a WordPress multi-site network, or are they each single installations of WordPress?

No these are single installs on different hosting accounts.

For the second site: What is the hosting company, which version are you updating from, and which plugins are installed?

Honestly… that would literally take me forever to detail with regards to plugins. I assigned a NEW Developer License Key and it is functioning fine.

All 3 that I have installed are now working. I think the previous license key is busted or something. So I would like it removed from my 5 license developer list and a new one put in its place, please.

Everything is working good now… keep the fingers crossed.

The License Key that is second in my account list, begins with “E”. Please remove this one. You will see farther down the list I have another key assigned to the same domain. That one is working.
