The registration auto response feature is not working for us, and neither is the Captcha feature – it keeps giving registrants error messages – although when I check the attendee registration I will find their names – multiple times because they keep trying to match the Captcha phrase and they don’t realize the registration is going through – no auto response is sent, even though it’s set-up and turned on. It has worked for us in the past.
We have updated Captcha and gotten the new keys, but it’s still not working right -so now it’s turned off – which opens the door for SPAM . . . This is a federal agency event for our company and we really need to stay on top of the registration – can you please advise. Many thanks! Celeste
Can you give us a link to one of the registration pages on your site? We need a little more information such as what errors the registrants receive. Have you updated any other plugins or your theme recently that might help us understand what might have changed (since you said it worked before).
How is reCAPTCHA “not working right”? Need a little more information.
I was away for the weekend and just returning. I am sending you the email for Patrick Wilkshire of our organization who can explain much better than I can what the captcha problem is and 3.1. 21 is the version of Expresso we use and no, we have not done anything to plugins because we didn’t want to “experiment” with anything because of this big event and the short amount of time we had to get it launched. With the issue you’re having with Recaptcha, can you post a summary of the email here?
With the emails not working, it may be a plugin conflict, or the server may not like the headers that Event Espresso have set in email.php. You could try removing the headers to see if that makes a difference.
