We had a very serious issue last week. Someone registered for two events by Authorize.net, received registration and payment confirmations by email but only appeared online as registered one of the events. The event she wasn’t showing up for was on the same day of registration and we looked quite foolish telling her she wasn’t registered at first, having to take her word for it and manually register her. The next day we did confirm by Auth.net that the payment went through, and got her to send her registration confirmation.

Do you have any idea why she wouldn’t have shown up in the Attendee list? We’ve had over 50 people register for various events so far and this is the one time this problem has occurred. Do you think it was just a one time glitch or a bug that needs to be fixed?

We would greatly appreciate any support you can provide to prevent this from happening again.

Thanks and kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

If it is your Stanford site, I would strongly advise you to update the version of event espresso you are running. Once updated please monitor for similar issues, if they occur please advise.

I think though that if this is an EE bug updating will fix it as there was some attendee issues in the 28.X version, that may affect it.

Hi Dean~ No it is not for the Stanford site which doesn’t use EE for registration, just a calendar. The issue happened on http://www.IETSTraining.com which is running a very recent version of 3.1.29.1.P Please advise.

Hi Daniel,

I would still recommend updating, but I havent heard of this happening before with Authorize.net. Right now it is virtually impossible to recreate, so though it isn’t ideal I would monitor registrations for any further incidents and if it occurs again grab as much info as possible (eg browser, event they registered to, customer actions if known like hitting the back button and so forth).

OK. We’ll consider updating and monitor for it happening again.
