Hi

We are using EE for a vietnamese website.
People register personal data in Vietnamese

Which looks like this:
T? ?i?n tr?c tuy?n Anh, Pháp, Hán, Vi?t. D?ch v? d?ch t? ??ng Anh Vi?t, Vi?t Anh.

But if we export the atendee list the data shows us things like this:
103a nguyễn lâm,phường 6

What do we have to do to make EE exporting the right format?

—————————–

we recently created a new payment gateway, which works fine so far. We just have a problem that EE is not sending out any confirmation emails after sucessful payment.

Could you help us here?

With the first issue you are having with the export, can you try opening that up in an application like csvfileviewer or openoffice? It may be the characters are getting converted when it imports into excel or another application.

With the emails, can you rule out whether it’s a gateway issue? This can be done by doing a test by registering for a free event. If it sends out the email automatically when it’s a free event, then it may be the gateway response isn’t hitting your server.

Hi Josh,
thanks for your reply.
I opened it in textedit on mac and it shows the data in a right format but of course no tables. But i am happy with that. Will download open office later and will check again.

2nd issues is a gateway issue, it seems. What do i have to address or change to hit the server response?

Hi

i urgently need a solution as our registration starts soon. I searched in the forum and found something like this code:

event_espresso_email_confirmations(array('session_id' => $payment_data['attendee_session'], 'send_admin_email' => 'true', 'send_attendee_email' => 'true'));

do i need tyo ad this somewhere in our gateway files?

cheers

Hi,

If the gateway is custom built and not part of the default Event Espresso release we cannot really support it. I would suggest taking a look at the current gateways files and this documentation http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/custom-gateway-integration/

Hi

i do understand that you can not provide direct support, but it would be nice if you could at least let me know the logic, where i need to begin with?

I bought the basic install & configuration package, which i actually did not use off.
Only the installation of some plugins. So maybe we can even it out with this support?

My payment gatweay is offsite, according to your link, it says we have to return it to “transaction” page to trigger the confirmation email. Do i understand that right?

so instead of returning to thank you page i need to return it to Transaction first?

If you look at and follow the logic of the offsite gateways that Event Espresso has built (the offsite PayPal gateway as an example) it returns the customer to the Thank You page and the Instant Payment notification goes to the transactions page. You can follow the code and modify it for your gateway from /gateways/paypal/paypay_vars.php
