Hi,

My “Add More Attendees” links don’t work.
So that we save a bit of time:
1.) I’m running the twenty twelve theme with a child theme with minor modifications to the css and that’s it, which means no weird jQuery 1.7+ OR javascript errors.
2.) I’ve added the [RAW] tags on the EVENT REGISTRATION page.
3.) I have used firebug and chrome extensions looking for any and all javascript issues…there are none! There are CSS errors, but not javascript ones. The CSS errors relate to a background image issue.
4.) Running WP 3.5.1 & EE 3.1.29.

5.) Looked at the code that’s being generated, looks fine but its obviously not because I’m STILL getting the aforementioned error.

MY URL http://www.milongamimosa.com/ the opening page contains a registration form. Go wild!

Any suggestions ?

Miles.

Hi Miles,

In order to narrow down the cause of the errors, it will help to go with a default WordPress theme (not a child theme). This and deactivating all non-EE plugins will help. If it starts working with the default theme, then it’s something with the child theme. If it starts working with all non-EE plugins deactivated, you can reactivate the plugins one at a time until you find the one causing the breakage.

Josh,

Guess what ? I deactivated all my plugins, and the child theme. still not working. Anything else ?
this is a production site, so if you go visit right now, i’ll have it back the way it was.

Hi Miles,

I’d check the contents of the event description in text (not visual) mode in the editor. There could be one or more extra opening or closing divs.

Here’s a JSfiddle of the same page minus the event description content where the additional attendee dropdown is working:

Josh,

That was really strange. It was an embedded table that wasn’t being properly parsed! Every time I’d add the table into the code, it would throw the error I took the table out, and bam it works. Add the table back in, poof!

Thanks for the clarity.

Miles.
