I am getting this odd message on my event registration page – http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/espresso_event/brave-magazine-launch/
    Date:
This event has expired or is no longer available.
How do I get rid of it?

    Hi Trish,

It must be because you are using the SINGLE EVENT shortcode still in the event posts, the http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/espresso_event/mastering-social-media-workshop/ doesnt have the message and that post doesnt use the SINGLE EVENT shortcode.

      Hi Dean
I just now posted that social media event, but the other one is an old one – the social media event is the first one I have posted since you made the changes for me.
It’s fine – I won’t worry about the odd message for now (since it’s not showing on the latest one).
Can you help me with something else? How can I have the side bar show on the registration pages?
      Thanks
      Trish

      Hi Andrea,

You should be able to change the page layout in your Page settings. Go to the page where [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] is located and you will probably see some layout options.

I’ve tried that Jonathan, but it doesn’t work. The odd thing is it works here (clicked on “view” from admin) http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/our-events-2/event-registration/?ee=12
but not here – clicked on from the event post page (and shared link) http://www.womenwithaltitude.com.au/espresso_event/penrith-networking/
It looks bare & I need it fixed.

          Hi Andrea,

The single-espresso_event.php template that’s included in the post-type samples of Event Espresso has a line of code you’ll find at line 128 that’s commented out that disables the sidebar. If you go into your active WordPress theme files you’ll find a copy of single-espresso_event.php there and you can uncomment line 128 to make the sidebar appear. It will look like this after un-commenting:

<?php get_sidebar(); // uncomment if you want a sidebar. i have commented it out because the twentyten layout doesn't work with all themes ?>
