Hi there I’m using the reCaptcha option on my events at http://www.rydebusiness.com.au and over the last couple of months the reCaptcha words have got harder and harder to read. Even I’m having trouble deciphering some of them. Now people aren’t using EE to register, they are sending me emails or phoning instead as they can’t get through the reCaptcha. I’ve had to turn the reCaptcha off so people can actually submit the forms and now I’m worried about spam robots attacking my site. Is there a way of integrating another type of Captcha program, i.e. Picatcha? Thanks Fergie NB this is in the pre-sales forum as the system doesn’t recognise that I’ve actually bought EE and won’t let me post on other categories)

You would know pretty quick if your site was vulnerable to spam registrations as you’d start getting them within hours of turning off reCAPTCHA. Many hosts are equipped with the As to whether there are other CAPTCHA programs, the answer is yes, but only reCAPTCHA is supported by Event Espresso. Another alternative would be to use WP User Integration, make all of your users members, and require them to login before they register for an event by making all events member-only.
Sabrina, I will update your account. It looks like you entered the wrong email address when you first purchased with us. You entered yourdomain.cm.au, instead of yourdomain.com.au.
