Hi How do I give access to an employee to scan 1 specific event on the event espresso app? I don’t want them snooping around the rest of upcoming event. Thanks
Hello, No this is not currently possible with the app or plugin.
Thanks Dean. Do you think this feature will become available anytime soon? Or is there a way around it that you know of (through changing codes or something)
I would say it is unlikely that the ability to limit the scanning to a single event would be added soon. More likely is that we will add a feature to limit by role, so if the event was created by the user with Event Manager role they could only see that event anyway. All I can do right now is add both to our feature request list. It could be possible with custom coding, I would suggest contacting one of our recommended developers – http://staging.eventespresso.com/developers/event-espresso-pros/
Hi Dean in your response to one of the forum questions you mentioned “Roles and Permissions Pro gives more roles such as Event Manager and Regional manager. These also can be limited in what they see, but also have less access, so for example the Event Manager can only see the events he creates.” I tried to do that but it won’t let me post a new event when I sign in with an Event Manager role. Please advise. Thanks again
Hello, Firstly, if possible please post separate questions in their own forum thread it helps us and other users find the post easier. In answer, have you set up the User Permissions settings so that the Event Manager has access to the Event Overview? Has the user been given the Event Manager role? http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/roles-permissions-basic/
