All Events Have Warning Messages!

After installing the 3.1.29.1 update, ALL of the events have this warning message-

Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /home/nativepl/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/templates/registration_page.php on line 81 and defined in /home/nativepl/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 990

I have no idea how to resolve this issue-help!

Hi there,

Which method did you use to update the plugin? Can you check to see what it says on line 81 of wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/templates/registration_page.php? It should read:

$data->event = $wpdb->get_row( $wpdb->prepare( $sql, NULL ), OBJECT);

Hello!

This is what it currently reads-

$data->event = $wpdb->get_row( $wpdb->prepare( $sql ), OBJECT);
$num_rows = $wpdb->num_rows;

Perhaps I didn’t install the update correctly? When I try to upload the .zip file it says the upgrade has failed.

I figured out what I did wrong, I didn’t install the update correctly. Everything is running smoothly now! Thanks !

Hi there,

In this case, the update did not run, and the code you posted confirms that you’re still on the older version of Event Espresso.

In order to upload the zip file for the new version, you’ll need to deactivate and delete the old version first. Please see this guide for step by step updating instructions:

Alternatively, you can use the auto update feature as well.
