Hi Guys,

Is it possible to do the following for an event;
1 ticket attendee event at £250. No more than 1 person can buy this ticket.
1 additional attendee would be free.
Then up to 5 additional attendees would be charge £20 each.

That potentially brings the total to 7, but I need to limit the first 2 to 1 x attendee each. Is the answer separate events? or Is the possible above?

Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,

Currently your best option for that setup would definitely be multiple events as we don’t have any form of conditional pricing like that.

You know, up until about an hour ago I wouldn’t have thought it was possible, but I just did some work for another customer to get the discount code to only apply to the primary attendee, and I think there is a way to do what you wanted, within the regular registration process. I wouldn’t try this if you are using the MER shopping cart. Actually, thinking about it, it may work with MER as well.
There is a hook we actually added for infusionsoft CRM integration that I used Here. For your situation, you would do something similar, except you would want to grab the registration id of the attendee from that first sql query, then do a second sql query to grab all the attendees with that same registration id. Then you could update them, setting the final price of the second attendee to 0, the third attendee to 20.00, etc.
