When registering for classes on our website customers are not able to easily return to the shopping cart if they navigate away from it. Is it possible to add a shopping cart icon and if so how???

Hi Lara,

It is possible to create a cart link, by default this would link to youdomain.com/event-registration/?regevent_action=show_shopping_cart

However, we also have the Espresso Cart Widget built into Event Espresso. If you go to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Widgets. You’ll find the ‘Event Espresso Cart Widget’ (http://take.ms/oY6Bd) which can be placed within a sidebar and is only visible once an event has been added to cart and the page refresh (or navigate away from the current page)

Does that help?

Thanks Tony. I was able to turn the widget on but it’s not showing up on the site. I added something to the cart, navigated away from it and refreshed but no luck. Where did i go wrong??

Hi Lara,

Where did you add the cart widget?

It would appear your theme doesn’t use a sidebar (widget area)

I tried both the sidebar page and display everywhere options and neither showed up. We are using Enfold as our theme.

Is it possible to get the icon to show up in the mega menu at the top of each page?

Hi Lara,

It’s possible. The first thing you’d do is create a custom menu item in the WordPress menu manager and the link you’ll add is:

yourdomain.com/event-registration/?regevent_action=show_shopping_cart
