Hi, apologies if a topic exists – various keywords that i can think of don’t find what i am after.

Q1: Can you custom add an attendee that has attended a previous event?

Q2: The opposite of the above, can you add an event to a registered attendee?

Hi Dayne,

I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking to do, but you can add attendees to events via the admin. Does that help?

Hi Josh, thanks for responding.

Not quite, what i am after is way to add attendees to an event that have already been to a previous event via the admin end – there name should be in the database somewhere just cant see where the list is to select them.

Hi Dayne,

We have the attendee mover tool available as a pre-release, but what that does is remove the attendee from the original event and adds them to the other event. That’s probably not what you’re looking to do either.

If your having trouble finding attendee records for older events it’s likely the filters are set to only view active events. If you go to the event overview and select “Inactive” and “Filter status” it will bring up a list of older events where you can view the older event’s attendee lists.

Hi Josh,

Ah, bummer. Was hoping there would be a function to add a previously registered attendee to a new event. As an example, say, an attendee who had previously registered, can’t register online so they phone call and we can add them because all there details are in the database already.

So, no dont want to move them. Any plans on this type of functionality?

Hi Dayne,

No plans on that functionality, but I will certainly add it to the feature request list. We have recently had someone else request this functionality too so it’s gaining a little bit of traction.

Hi,

Maybe the attendee mover tool becomes a combined mover/assigner/re-assigner tool.

Look forward to seeing it function as the rest of the product takes care of the needs an event function tool should do.

Hi Dayne,
I added a attendee clone feature to the development version of the attendee mover tool. I’ve sent it over to another team member for independent testing, but I’ve run some preliminary tests on it, and it looks like it may serve your purpose. I’ll have to email it to you, since the development version isn’t available for download.

Hi,

Great stuff – works like a charm. Much appreciate what you have done here.

Hi,

Question to check, my developer has just pointed out the following: ‘does the mover tool associate the user with wp user?’.

I am guessing you have made it so with the tie up of the WP user integration tool you have made. But thought id ask?

I hadn’t added that to the version that I sent you. I’ll add it in now and post a link to download the updated version.

Hi,

Hey, hey i can login again. This is a copy of my email so the post keep integrity:

Thought id up date you. Installed the updated dev plugin. At this stage it is not updating the wp user ‘Member’ account. Ie, if I clone the attendee from one event to another i should then be able to login to the attendee profile and see the event change from my registration window… cant see the change.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m sure Sidney will continue to tweak this.
