I just upgraded to premium. What do I need to do to install or activate the add-ons (particularly Recurring Events)? They are not showing up in the plug-in page of WordPress. thanks for any help.

Hello Elizabeth,

First of all, thank you for upgrading. :)

If you will go to your account on our website (http://staging.eventespresso.com/users/elizabeth/), you will see the add ons listed at the bottom right. You can download them, then install them through the WordPress dashboard.

Let us know if you have anymore questions.

HI Jonathan,
thanks for the quick reply. I have downloaded the add on – but I don’t see any way to install them through the WordPress dashboard. Is there documentation that gives step – by step instructions?

Hi Elizabeth,

Once you have downloaded the add on to your computer follow these steps:

  • Go to your WordPress dashboard
  • Click Plugins
  • Click Add New
  • Click Upload
  • Click Choose file
  • Find the downloaded zip file via the box that pops up
  • Click OK
  • Click Install Now
  • When it is done installing, click Activate

After that the plugin/add on will be activated. Some of the add ons add menu items under Event Espresso, some like the Recurring Event manager don’t, but add functionality (for this add on add a new event or edit an existing one to see the functionality)
