I don’t remember this happening before the current version, but here’s what I’m seeing.
An attendee record is being created at the confirmation screen, but if they don’t click confirm, it’s still showing as a registration.
On the confirmation page, if the user clicks their back button to edit, rather then the “edit” link, it will create a new attendee record.
Shouldn’t it wait to create the attendee record after the confirmation is clicked? I should add that these are free events, so there’s no payment process.

There was a change made in a recent version that added an option that allows you to skip the confirmation page , so the registration gets recorded when the Submit button is clicked now.
We’ve opened a ticket for the dev team to add a check so that when someone hits the back button, it will check first to see if there is already a registration submission entered and not add a second one when it’s submitted again.
You’re welcome. Thanks for reporting. I’ve updated the ticket and added a few notes to it from this forum topic. Hopefully we’ll have this fixed soon.
