Our website grants you non-exclusive limited license to use the Event Espresso plugin and other products sold through our website (http://staging.eventespresso.com) by Event Espresso LLC. (the “products”) in accordance with these Terms & Conditions (the “license) issued by our company.
1. Plugin Licensing
Event Espresso is licensed under the GNU general public license (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html).
2. Automatic Upgrades
Automatic Upgrades are available to customers who have purchased a support license in accordance with the license they have purchased. A Personal site license provides automatic upgrades for a single site, A Business license provides automatic upgrades for up to 1 site and add-ons and a Developer license provides automatic upgrades for 5 sites and add-ons for you or your clients. You may not resell access to your support license key.
Upgrades are provided for a term of 1 year from the time of purchase. After 1 year a new license will need to be purchased in order to continue receiving support and product upgrades.
Installing Event Espresso on a sub-domain or in a sub-folder counts as a unique site. Installing Event Espresso on a WordPress multi-site website, where members of the network receive their own installation of Event Espresso, is not prohibited. However our support staff will only offer support to the primary license holder, or where the domain owner (network manager or network member) has purchased their own support license.
3. Delivery
After we have successfully processed your payment, you may then login to http://staging.eventespresso.com to receive support and access to downloads (for the duration of your support license). If you do not receive an email with your login EventEspresso.com account login credentials after 1 hour, please contact us.
4. Ownership
You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership rights to any of our products. All products are property of Event Espresso, LLC. They are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied. We shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or losses that occur out of the use or inability to use our products.
5. Site Content
All site content, including imagery and documentation that is published on EventEspresso.com and is the property of Event Espresso, LLC.. Any replicated site content must be authorized in advanced. Content from this site shall not be used or exploited for commercial or non-commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Event Espresso, LLC..
6. Refund Policy
We offer non-tangible irrevocable, digital goods and services and provide several methods to evaluate our products:
- Event Espresso Lite – download a free version of Event Espresso with limited features and community support.
- Pre-sales forum – ask questions about how Event Espresso functions or how it might work for your situation.
- Test-drive EE3 – access to a WordPress website with many of the premium Event Espresso features activated.
- Test-drive EE4 – access to your own event website to test EE4.
We expect that the above methods for evaluating Event Espresso should be sufficient to determine if Event Espresso will meet your needs. Please contact us if you have tried to evaluate Event Espresso with these methods and still have questions or concerns.
As such we do not offer refunds.
We may consider issuing a refund within the first 7 days of your purchase if: 1) you are unable to get the plugin to install properly on your website, 2) if the plugin fails to perform the basic functions as designed, and 3) you have worked with the product support team to try to resolve these issues. Any refunds will be granted at the sole discretion of Event Espresso. If you feel that you have met the above considerations, please fill out the Refund Questionnaire.
No refunds will be given after 7 days from the initial purchase, all sales are final. Please note that by purchasing the plugin, you agree to the terms of the Refund Policy.
7. Support
Event Espresso offers WordPress plugins “as is” and with no implied meaning that they will function exactly as you would like or will be compatible with all 3rd party components and plugins. We do not offer support via email or otherwise support WordPress or other WordPress plugins we have not developed.
Support is offered via a support license key. Purchasing a support license key gives you access to our support forums and documentation.
Support and automatic product updates are provided for a term of 1 year from the time of purchase. After 1 year a new license will need to be purchased in order to continue receiving support and product updates.
License holders cannot distribute, freely giveaway, or resell their license key. The license key is only transferable by contacting us and requesting an official transfer of the license to a new owner. The license is intended to be used on the license holders web site(s). Client site usage is permitted in situations where the license holder maintains an ongoing relationship with the client as a consultant. Only the license holder is permitted to request support or access support resources.
License holders are not permitted to re-post support forum content or documentation on any external websites, social media outlets, etc. Posting screen captures of this content is also prohibited. Violation will be grounds for immediate termination of the support license and all access to support content and product updates will be discontinued.
8. Transactional Emails
Event Espresso, LLC. may on occasion send you email notifications related to your Event Espresso license. These transactional emails may include notification of licensing changes, changes to our terms and conditions, license expiration notices and other transactional emails related to your purchase of Event Espresso.
9. Price Changes
Event Espresso, LLC. reserves the right, at any time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, a support license with or without notice. Prices of all products are subject to change. Notice of price changes will be made on the site.
10. Warranty
Our plugin is guaranteed to function on a clean installation of WordPress with the standard theme. We do not guarantee it will function with all 3rd party plugins or with all web browsers. We are not responsible for any plugin compatibility conflicts that may occur. It is our policy to support our plugins as best we can and we will provide support for 3rd party plugin conflicts at our discretion or as time allows. We are not responsible for any data loss that may occur as a result of installing this plugin.
You may not claim intellectual or exclusive ownership over any of our Products, modified or unmodified. All Products are property of EventEspresso.com ( Event Espresso, LLC. ). Our Products are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied. In no event shall EventEspresso.com ( Event Espresso, LLC. ) be liable for any damages, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, or other losses arising out of the use of, or inability to use our Products.
All of our Products are designed to be compatible with the latest available version of WordPress®. We also make every effort to future-proof our Products, in a variety of ways, so they’ll remain compatible in future versions of WordPress® as well. Of course, there are exceptions, and we’re not perfect. We can give no guarantee that all Products will remain functional in future versions of WordPress®. If something major changes in a new version of WordPress®, and updates or improvements are needed, they will be made available on our website. Customers with a valid license will receive these updates & improvements (as needed) at no additional charge, upon logging into your account.
In some cases, where a particular Product has become extremely outdated, or we decide there is no feasible workaround available to us, we may choose to discontinue that particular Product, and instead, work to produce an entirely new version that takes advantage of the latest improvements in the most recent version of WordPress®.
11. Acceptance
By purchasing our product(s) you indicate that you have read and agree the Terms & Conditions detailed on this page and relinquish any rights to subject it to any questions, judgement or legal actions.
