Documentation FAQs

How do I determine which version of Event Espresso I am using?

At the bottom of the Event Espresso pages is a footer that specifies the version installed. E.g. "Event Registration and Ticketing Powered by Event Espresso - 4.1.247.alpha". You can also navigate to your plugins dashboard and in the description of Event Espresso the version is also listed.

How do I download Event Espresso files?

You can download the Event Espresso files for the first time from your EventEspresso.com account page (see Understanding Your Account).

Where is the documentation for my add-ons?

You can find the documentation for all add-ons in the "Add-ons" Section of documentation. You will only have access to the plugins that are listed on your account. You can also link directly from the documentation icon next to the name of the plugins listed in the "Downloads" section of your account. See Understanding Your Account for more information.

How do I get extra help?

Priority support token(s) can be purchased if you'd like us to install and/or configure Event Espresso for you.

What if I can't find the documentation I'm looking for?

If you can not find the information you're looking for, please post your question to the Support Forums. We will either answer your question directly, direct you to the appropriate documentation, or add new documentation for you.

What is the difference between Documentation and the Support Forums?

Our documentation pages are intended to answer commonly-asked questions about how to use and configure Event Espresso. The Support Forums are for questions related to your particular use-case, or where you can report unexpected behavior (bugs), offer feedback.

What level of access do I have to documentation?

You will have access to only the documentation for each plugin listed on your EventEspresso.com account.

How long do I have access to documentation?

Event Espresso 4+ is one of the best documented event plugins available. It comes with its own set of in-app documentation via the Help Tours, Help Tabs, and Tool Tips. The in-app documentation is version specific. Documentation on EventEspresso.com is not version specific and is updated regularly. You will only have access to EventEspresso.com documentation while you have an active support license.

How do I get help customizing Event Espresso for my website?

Event Espresso support staff may be able to assist with minor customizations after you purchase a Support Token. You can pose your initial request in the Support Forums and our staff can direct you further. Please complete our customization requests form to discuss larger projects.
